About

Some things should never be rushed.

At Craftale, every piece is a quiet response to a world of fast consumption. Handmade porcelain is not created to be perfect—it is created to be real. The subtle variations, the marks left by the maker's hands, the impossibility of ever reproducing the exact same form twice... This is what makes every piece truly one of a kind.

Here, making is a process. A ritual. A place where hands meet clay, and where craftsmanship is still deeply valued.

Craftale is an invitation to slow down. It is a reminder that tables are not only for sharing meals, but for creating memories. In the rush of everyday life, we hope that the cup in your hands encourages you to pause, even for a moment.

Because some stories simply need time.

Welcome.
Take your time.

—  Gökçe Köse Şenöz, Founder & Designer

I graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in American Culture and Literature. For nearly twenty years, I worked with words—translating books, ideas, and stories from one language into another.

Then one day, I found myself in a porcelain workshop. It wasn't planned, and it wasn't the result of a life-changing decision. But the moment my hands touched clay, something deeply familiar stirred within me. I realized that my way of telling stories was changing.

Porcelain taught me patience. It taught me to slow down, to wait, and sometimes to step back. To trust the process and allow each form to unfold in its own time.

Today, every piece I create at Craftale is a continuation of that journey. Every cup and every plate is shaped through a process that cannot be rushed—a process of careful attention, countless small decisions, and craftsmanship. For me, making is not simply a profession; it is a way of connecting with people through the objects they welcome into their daily lives.

Craftale is the name of this journey—from words to clay. A reflection of a slower, more thoughtful, and more intentional way of making.

I pay great attention to every material and technique used throughout the making process. I work with fine French Limoges porcelain as well as premium German stoneware clays from Witgert and Georg & Schneider. Each material has its own unique character, texture, and strength, allowing me to choose the one that best expresses the form and feeling I want each piece to convey.

For my glazes, I combine carefully selected French, German, and British formulas with glazes developed in my own studio. Some are chosen for their timeless qualities, while others are created through extensive testing to achieve colors and surfaces that are uniquely Craftale.

My goal is for every piece to feel complete—not only in its form, but also in the way it looks, feels, and is experienced. Every object is shaped by hand, carefully refined, and allowed to evolve over time before it finds its place in someone's home.
